What kind of restraining order do you need?

Hawaii has four kinds of protective orders. The right one depends on who is hurting you and what is happening.

• Domestic Abuse TRO

  For abuse from a family member, household member, dating partner, or someone you have a child with.

  HRS Chapter 586
• Harassment Injunction

  For harassment from a neighbor, coworker, acquaintance, or stranger.

• Stalking Injunction

  For someone who is following you, watching you, or repeatedly contacting you in a way that scares you.

  HRS 604-10.5
• Sexual Assault Protective Order

  For someone who has sexually assaulted you or threatened to.

  HRS 604-10.5
