Before your hearing, you should:

  • Bring a photo ID
  • Bring the ticket
  • Bring any photos, videos, or witnesses that help your side
  • Plan to be at court for about 2 hours

We will send three reminders — 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before your hearing — in your language.

Evidence base for SMS reminders: Chohlas-Wood et al., Science Advances (2025) found bench warrants dropped from 12.1% to 9.7% in a Santa Clara County RCT. NYC ideas42 + Crime Lab (2018) found a 36% reduction in failure-to-appear when SMS reminders were paired with a redesigned summons.
